Purpose
Walt’s receives numerous donation requests each month. To ensure our giving is aligned with our values and business goals, this policy establishes clear guidelines for donation eligibility and approval.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a donation from Walt’s, requestors must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Active Customer Status
- The requestor or organization must have made a purchase within the last 12 months.
- Verification may include a customer account, loyalty program registration, or sales receipt.
- Community Partner Account
- The organization must maintain an account with us (retail, club, range, or corporate).
This ensures we are supporting partners who have chosen to support our business in return.
Alignment with Our Values
Priority is given to organizations that promote outdoor education, shooting sports, veterans’ welfare, youth leadership, or local law enforcement and first responders.
Request Process
- All donation requests must be submitted via our online form.
- Required information includes organization details, event purpose, date, requested item/value.
Lead Time
- Requests must be submitted at least 30 days in advance of the event date.
Review Process
- A designated staff member or committee will review donation requests bi-weekly.
- Approved donations will be based on eligibility, budget availability, and promotional value.
Limitations
We are unable to donate to:
- Individuals (except those acting as recognized community representatives).
- Political organizations or campaigns.
- For-profit businesses.
Repeat donations to the same group may be limited to once per calendar year, unless a formal sponsorship agreement is in place.
Marketing Exchange
Approved recipients are asked to:
- Publicly recognize “Walt’s Army Navy Stores” / “Top Shot Indoor Range” in event materials or social media.
- Provide post-event photos and/or metrics when possible.
This helps us understand the impact of our donations and encourages continued support.
Policy Review
This policy is reviewed annually and may be adjusted based on business needs and community engagement outcomes.
