Next-Generation Rimfire Performance. Optics-Ready Versatility. Legendary TX22 Design.

Experience the next generation of rimfire shooting with the Taurus TX22 Generation 2 TORO .22 LR Semi-Automatic Pistol. Building on the popularity of the original TX22, this updated model combines modern ergonomics, improved design features, and an optics-ready slide in a versatile rimfire handgun.

Chambered in .22 Long Rifle, the TX22 Gen 2 TORO is designed for recreational target shooting, range practice, and shooting sports. Its lightweight polymer frame, ergonomic grip, and manageable rimfire recoil make it approachable for a wide variety of shooters.

Why It Stands Out

Next-Generation TX22 Design

The original Taurus TX22 earned attention for its approachable rimfire design and comfortable handling.

The Generation 2 model builds on that foundation with updated styling and mechanical refinements, bringing additional versatility to the TX22 family.

TORO Optics-Ready Slide

The TORO system is one of the most significant features of this pistol.

Its optics-ready slide accommodates compatible micro red dot sights, allowing owners to select between traditional iron sights and an optic-equipped configuration.

Exact optic footprints and mounting requirements should be confirmed against the specific factory model.

Affordable .22 LR Shooting

The .22 Long Rifle cartridge remains popular for recreational shooting and range practice because of its relatively low ammunition cost and manageable recoil.

The TX22 Gen 2 TORO provides a modern semi-automatic platform chambered for this widely available rimfire cartridge.

Comfortable Ergonomics

The lightweight polymer frame and textured grip are designed to provide comfortable handling.

Its modern grip profile and accessible controls make the TX22 platform appealing to recreational shooters and rimfire enthusiasts.

Versatile Range Pistol

Whether used for recreational target shooting, familiarization with semi-automatic pistol controls, or organized shooting activities, the TX22 Gen 2 TORO offers a combination of modern features and traditional rimfire practicality.
